Alistair has just completed his studies GCSEs at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, achieving excellent results including in his Level 2 qualifications, including a Distinction* in IT.

He is now looking forward to continuing his journey with us by joining the UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park Sixth Form.

Talking about his choice to stay on at UTC, Alistair explained:

“It stood against other schools. I feel like teachers here really want you to learn.”

Alistair has developed a strong interest in science, particularly physics, inspired by the support of his teachers:

“Mr Shaw is fantastic and really helped develop my interest in science, especially physics. Mr Langman also helped to build my enthusiasm for maths.”

Looking ahead, Alistair aspires to work in a space-related start-up company and hopes to keep developing his research skills. His advice to younger students thinking about joining UTC OLP is:

“Be resilient because it’s worth the effort. You’ll get better learning.”

When asked to describe UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park in three words, he said: “Worth the effort.”
