Health Sciences & Social Care at Year 9 & KS4: Educating the Health Innovators of Tomorrow

Are you interested in understanding how the human body works? Do you want to make a difference to people’s lives while exploring the science behind health and wellbeing?

At UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, Health Sciences & Social Care gives you the opportunity to turn your curiosity into real-world knowledge and skills. From human biology and nutrition to public health, healthcare practice and social care, you’ll explore the subjects that underpin modern health services while working on projects inspired by industry.

Healthcare is one of the UK’s fastest-evolving sectors, with advances in medical science, digital health technologies and personalised care transforming the way people are supported throughout their lives. Through hands-on learning and employer-led experiences, you’ll develop an understanding of the physical, social and emotional factors that influence health and wellbeing, while building the communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills valued by employers.
