Eshan is celebrating after securing a place at the University of Sheffield to study Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence, following his studies at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park Sixth Form.

He chose UTC because it was close to home and offered excellent computing facilities, which helped him grow in confidence with coding and project management.

During his time here, Eshan developed key skills including communication, problem solving, maths and project management, and he is particularly proud of creating a website as part of Unit 21.

He cites the Eyam project as a highlight and says opening his results on results day was a moment of real pride.

Eshan also gained valuable experience through work experience at UTC, where he contributed to an augmented reality project, and he enjoyed exploring new technologies such as VR headsets.

Reflecting on his journey, he explained: “UTC OLP made me more confident about the future.”

His advice to younger students is to “work hard from day one.”

Describing UTC as a close community where everyone knows everyone, Eshan says the calm and relaxed atmosphere supported his learning, and he now looks forward to securing his first professional role in the AI industry within the next five years.
