Parent Testimonial, Y13 Sport Student

“My son chose UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park for a new start, inspired by his love of sport and the proximity to the English Institute of Sport. As a parent, I was initially concerned because this wasn’t the traditional qualification route for our family – it felt like a leap of faith.

It was a leap of faith that paid off. My son spent two years studying his passion, both technically and practically, in an environment that suited his learning style. Technical study was never a chore for him – it kept him engaged and supported his mental health.

I believe we should be celebrating technical qualifications and shouting about the positive impact they have. UTC OLP and the opportunities it provides have equipped him with the skills needed for higher education and the workplace.”
