Ronnie

Ronnie is moving on to Hillsborough College after completing his studies at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park, having chosen UTC for a “fresh start away from a negative setting.”

He says the biggest change since joining has been the higher expectations, which have pushed him to become a better version of himself.

A proud moment for Ronnie was when English “clicked” after he really focused and listened, showing how his attitude to learning has grown. He also enjoyed using the astro facilities for sport, which made his experience more engaging.

His advice to younger students considering UTC is simple: “Just do it.”

Ronnie describes UTC in three words as “Different – Friendly – Encouraging (strict in a good way)” and says the atmosphere is “happy.”

Looking ahead, he sees himself in a well-established job within five years, building on the confidence and resilience gained during his time at UTC.
