Sixteen-year-old Scarlett is celebrating after achieving the results she needed to progress into UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park’s sixth form.

On opening her results Scarlett said: “I’m over the moon!”

In her results Scarlett achieved a Distinction in her Health Sciences specialism, 7s in Child Development, Mathematics and Physics, 6s in Geography, Chemistry and English Language and 5s in English Literature and Biology.

Scarlett originally joined the UTC after seeing how much her brother, William, had enjoyed his studies there.

Scarlett is now progressing into Year 12 at the UTC. Asked why she has decided to stay on, she said: “I think the UTC will allow me to thrive. I like the teachers and I like the style of working.”

Continuing: “In sixth form I’ll be studying Health. I like how hands on the learning is and how it’s focused, it helps you into a career in that field.”

After completing her students Scarlett is planning to apply for university.
