Cristal is progressing to Tapton Sixth Form to study Economics, Business, Maths and Politics, after achieving an outstanding 10 GCSEs at grades 7–9 at UTC Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park.

She says she chose UTC because it was central and accessible, and during her time here she is most proud of building strong friendships and raising her academic interests to a higher level.

Cristal particularly enjoyed STEM projects, which she feels best showcase her skills, and she also gained valuable experience through a dentistry placement where she saw first-hand the organisation required in a professional setting—an opportunity that confirmed Health & Social Care was not the right path for her.

Her advice to younger students is clear: “Pick the options you think are right for you, don’t just follow friends.”

Cristal describes UTC as offering a “wide variety of subjects” in a “calm” atmosphere, and she now looks forward to furthering her studies with the ambition of going on to university in the future.
